Storytelling Journal

Journaling Prompts:

  • Write today as a chapter in a book. What would the chapter be called?

  • Create a character who feels a bit like you. What are they worried about right now?

  • Turn an ordinary moment (school, a walk, bedtime) into an adventure story.

  • Rewrite a moment from your day, but give it a different ending.

  • Your character discovers they have a quiet superpower. What is it, and when does it appear?

  • Your character finds a note, letter, or message meant just for them. What does it say?

  • Turn a feeling (like anger, excitement, or sadness) into a place your character visits.

  • Your character has to go somewhere they don’t want to go. What happens along the way?

  • Choose an object from your day and let it tell the story from its point of view.

  • Write about a time your character was braver than they expected.

  • Imagine today as a film scene. What music would be playing?

  • End your story with the words: “And this is where everything began to change…”
